FRE's services are unique in Bridgeport, as there is no other agency in our area dedicated solely to the psychological well-being of this underserved and often forgotten population. Through its programs, FRE seeks to increasing public safety, reducing the burden of incarceration on taxpayers, and improving the quality of life for the communities it serves. Clients and their families receive support based on their individualized needs and FRE partners with many organizations in the community to ensure each family's comprehensive needs are addressed. It works to create a positive social network for each client, towards helping to make their transition from prison back into the community a successful one and helping them towards a road of self-sufficiency, while strengthening their families and the community.
